Atleha-edu NPC is a non-profit company providing accessible consumer financial education (CFE) in South Africa, focused particularly on retirement fund trustees, principal officers, management committee members, fund members and youth.

We offer:

  • Free online publications, short articles, infographics, videos and podcasts.
  • Interactive workshops (in-person and online) for trustees and fund members.
  • Materials translated into several South African languages (e.g., isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho).

Yes — All content on the Atleha-edu website is provided at no cost to users in compliance with relevant Financial Sector Code (FSC) consumer-financial-education requirements.

Our workshop topics include (but are not limited to):

  • The “Two-Pot” Retirement System reform.
  • Investment fundamentals for trustees and fund members.
  • Managing personal finances (budgeting, debt, savings).
  • Retirement fund governance fundamentals.
  • Death-benefits (Section 37C) in retirement funds.

Atleha-edu aligns its educational content with:

  • The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) Guidance Note 500 and the FSC Consumer Financial Education funding requirements.
  • Deductions for Consumer Financial Education spend via funder partners.
  • Accredited for BATSETA (Council for Retirement Funds) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for trustees.

You can access free resources via the Atleha-edu website. To receive regular “learning bits” (short educational articles, videos, infographics) you can sign up here.

Retirement funds can contact Atleha-edu via email (info@atleha-edu.org) to arrange interactive workshops, webinars or bespoke education sessions for their trustees, principal officers or members.

  • Do you offer student or education loans?

  • Can Atleha-edu help me claim my unclaimed retirement or provident fund benefits?

We don’t process or facilitate unclaimed benefit claims. Please contact your retirement fund administrator or visit the FSCA Unclaimed Benefits Search Tool at www.fsca.co.za to check if you have funds owing to you. 

You can also contact your previous employer’s HR department or the fund administrator directly with your ID number and fund details for assistance. 

  • How do I register for a training session?

Please email us at info@atleha-edu.org with your name, organisation, and the session details. 

  • Is Atleha-edu NPC an FSCA-compliant Consumer Financial Education (CFE) Provider as per the FSC, GN 500 and Conduct Standard 1 of 2025
    Yes, Atleha-edu fully complies with the Financial Sector Code requirements for CFE, including GN 500 and the Conduct Standard 1 of 2025, taking effect in March 2026.

  • Do Atleha-edu workshops count for CPD points?
    Yes, selected Atleha-edu sessions are CPD-accredited with Batseta. Each accredited workshop will clearly indicate CPD status on the invitation or attendance certificate. 
  • How do I request a CPD certificate?
    Please email info@atleha-edu.org with your full name, ID number, and the session you attended to receive your CPD certificate. 
  • When will I receive my CPD certificate?
    Certificates are typically issued within 14 working days of your workshop attendance or assessment submission, provided that you attended the full workshop session and provided all required info.
